About us
Welcome to Forest View Arts. My mission is to bring beauty and the creative spirit into your home and garden through carefully crafted artwork. Founded out of a passion for art and nature, Forest View Arts combines the two to create unique pieces that tell a story.
Each work of art is hand-painted by me: retired teacher and artist, Amanda G. C. Clark. I pay close attention to detail, ensuring that every work of art is truly one-of-a-kind and of the highest quality. Whether you are looking for garden decor or an indoor conversation piece, this collection has something for every taste and style.
I understand that art is not just about aesthetics; it's about connection, emotion, and personal expression. My commitment to excellence extends beyond the products to customer service. I can work with you to create custom pieces to suit your choice of colours, artistic style or subjects.
At Forest View Arts, I believe that everyone deserves to have a piece of beauty in their life, and I am dedicated to making that possible through my artwork.
About the Artist:
Amanda G.C.Clark
After my 25 year teaching career, I took early retirement in order to move back to the area where I grew up to care for aging family. I love living outside the hustle and bustle of cities and plan to build my little dream bungalow by the woods of the Bonnechere Valley.
I currently live in the suburbs of Ottawa, Ontario with my father, my husband and our five cats. I start each morning in my studio, painting while enjoying a cup of coffee or tea and with a cat or two keeping me company.
I love the challenge of painting on unusual materials like the patio paver bricks. It is a wonderful mindfulness practice to focus my attention on creating fine details on the rough surface.
When I'm not in my studio, or caring for family, you can generally find me near water. I enjoy swimming and kayaking and just being near the soothing sounds of waves on a beach, or the voice of water falling over rapids or in waterfalls. The Ottawa Valley is an amazing place to explore to find these treasured water sanctuaries.
